Further the advise of the government and heightened concerns as a result of CoVid-19, the operations of the job club are now suspended until further notice. If you have any urgent requirements please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Hope Job Club is now up and running every Friday, 1 - 3pm at the Jubilee Community Centre, Charlwoods Road, East Grinstead.
We appreciate Jobseekers with limited means find it difficult to regularly access the local JobCentre Plus in Crawley so we are working with the DWP and other local agencies to step into the gap. We are not seeking to replicate or replace any existing service, but rather add to what is already available.
Local people looking for work are invited to Drop-In for a brief chat and we will look at teaming them up with a Volunteer Buddy to offer a personalised training plan to help them identify and work towards achieving their goals.
Anyone interested in seeking help is encouraged to contact us in confidence to see how we can best be of service.
Anyone interested in volunteering is also warmly invited to contact us.
And finally if you represent a business, can offer volunteering opportunities, work experience, part-time work or just want to find out more, again please contact us, we would welcome your engagement.
“ Over the past 16 years I have been employed, fired, out-of-work and needing to up-skill for the next job. My life experiences around needing to earn a living and wanting to help others led me to volunteer with The Hope Job Club. Right now, I have the privilege of leading a new church plant and love every bit of serving members of the local church and community despite having a young family, a very demanding day-job, studying for a doctorate and running a technology start-up. ”
“ I’d describe myself as a ‘Volunteer at heart’ as I’ve found it’s true that ‘in giving you receive’. From publishing a church newsletter for 17yrs, co-running a Toddler Group, being the Administrator for a local pre-school, volunteering at our local Heatherly Cheshire Home, supporting victims of crime through Victim Support to co-founding the EG Foodbank and now being at Citizens Advice and St Catherine’s Hospice. Life is full of opportunities, so good to plug in and engage! ”
